(@thefoodadvenchers) Three years ago, we fell in love with Megawatt— a humble restaurant located near the border of San Juan-Quezon City. We raved about their pizza, chicken, and burritos that were truly electrifyingly satisfying. Aside from that, we adored how they lived up to the concept of an industrial power plant inspired restaurant. So, just imagine our devastation when last year, we read the news from their Facebook page that they were closing.
But good news! Megawatt is back and is now bigger and definitely stronger! They moved to a new location in Banawe Quezon City. They are under the same roof as BuildPlus+, a one-stop shop for industrial tools and more. Together, these two shops offer a build, shop & dine concept for foodies and those looking for home and restaurant improvement materials.
BuildPlus+ is the only retail hub that operates as a one-stop shop for different arrays of items ranging from quality tools, lighting fixtures & accessories to car care necessities and kitchen & homeware products.
As Sean, one of the owners, was touring us around the place, we found out that they are the official concept store in the area of INGCO brand of Power Tools & Equipment — renowned quality tools with European Standards. Aside from this, they also carry some other brands including:
- Extreme Brand of Tools & Equipment
- Jr. Kawasaki Tools
- Bosny Spray Paints & Hardware Products
- FireStop – Portable Fire Extinguisher
- Meguiar’s Car Care Products
- CleanPRO / P&S / TAC – Car Care Chemicals & necessities
- Kitchen Circle – Kitchenware necessities
- FSL & Philip’s Lighting
- ROYU & Firefly Lighting Accessories
- ONDOY boats – rescue & re-creational heavy duty plastic boats
- Unique lighting fixtures and many more!
Now, under the same roof is their concept dining store—Megawatt—Pizza and Steak. What we like about the brand new Megawatt is how they are able to integrate their power plant inspired restaurant together with the rest of the place. You have a shopping place for your industrial needs on one hand, and on the other, you have a place where you can enjoy good food after the shopping spree.
Aside from the amazing execution of this concept, their food as always did not disappoint. While we miss their burrito and other favourites from their past menu, we were more than happy with the newest menu of Megawatt. These were some of the items that we tried.
Apart from that, some of their dishes can also be upgraded to keto! So if you are on a keto diet, fear no more because Megawatt will be able to cater to your special dietary needs.
Everything that they served to us was electrifyingly good! The best part was, the dishes all came in hefty portion. Talk about quality and quantity.
We were truly very happy to find our way back to Megawatt. True to their slogan, they’re really more than just tools as they provide their customers with the best shopping and dining experience one could ever ask for.
Special shoutout to @eatsasmallwordlph for joining us for this food advencher. We’d like to thank Sean, one of the owners, for inviting us!
